Experience & Credentials

Emma Pinion has been dancing for 19 years and has danced competitively since she was 9 years old. In May of 2022, she graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University, receiving two degrees, Biology Education and Dance, and a minor in Choreography and ContemporaryDance Performance. Emma was a performer and choreographer for the Dance Performance Project group at SLU, where she artistically directed a contemporary dance concert, consisting of 9 pieces, and choreographed a work that performed at the American College Dance Association 2022 Convention.

She is a former Southeastern Louisiana Lionette Dance Team member and achieved an award for D1 Hip Hop at the 2020 UDA College National Championship. Also, she coached for the Loranger High School Dance Team in Loranger, LA, and choreographed pom, kick, and jazz performances. Due to her extensive background in science, education, and dance, her teaching practices focus on building strong, flexible dancers in both mind and body by providing opportunities for them to express themselves and grow.
